Measuring a Refrigerator Door Gasket in 4 Easy Steps:

All cooler and freezer door gaskets are measured the same way. You will want to measure your gasket from the further most outer edge to the further most outer edge of the gasket unless your gasket is missing or severely damaged.

The best place to measure is outside edge to outside edge of the gasket.

DO NOT measure the door. Gasket and door dimensions can differ.
STEP 1: Open the door

STEP 2: Take your measuring tape and hook it on the outermost edge of the gasket just below the corners and measure all the way across the door from left to right. Reverse your tape measure & do it again.
Always measure 2X and be within the nearest 1/8”.

STEP 3: Write down the width on the paper.

STEP 4: Take your measuring tape and hook it on the outermost edge of the gasket just below the corners and measure all the way down the door from top to bottom. Reverse your tape measure & do it again.
Always measure 2X and be within the nearest 1/8”.
